About the Role
Leading Solutions, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Program Manager to support government contracts and ensure high-quality program execution. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience who are looking to grow their expertise in the government contracting (GovCon) field.
As a Junior Program Manager, you will play an integral role in day-to-day program operations, working closely with the Senior Program Manager, PMO Specialist, subcontractors, and client stakeholders to drive mission success. The position offers a hands-on opportunity to expand your career in program management while contributing directly to federal operations. Strong leadership, multi-tasking, and exceptional communication skills are essential. Candidates with prior military experience are especially encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the Senior Program Manager and PMO Specialist in managing federal contracts and program operations.
· Assist with program planning, initiation, execution, reporting, and closeout activities.
· Manage and coordinate geographically dispersed teams, including work schedules, issue resolution, and performance oversight.
· Ensure program deliverables, schedules, and compliance requirements are consistently met.
· Prepare and maintain program documentation, reports, and performance metrics.
· Track progress against milestones and escalate issues to leadership when necessary.
· Collaborate with HR, recruiting, and finance teams to align staffing, budgets, and invoicing.
· Assist with subcontractor oversight and vendor coordination.
· Participate in program and client meetings, providing updates and follow-up actions.
· Contribute to quality assurance, process improvement, and compliance initiatives.
· Apply knowledge of GovCon practices, FAR/DFARS, and project management principles in daily operations.
Qualifications
Required
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in program coordination, project management, or government contracting.
· Demonstrated leadership ability to guide tasks, teams, or projects toward successful completion.
· Experience working with or managing geographically dispersed teams.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Proven ability to build relationships and foster collaboration with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Prior military service; strongly preferred.
Preferred (Not Required)
· Familiarity with federal contracting, FAR/DFARS, or program/project management best practices.
· Experience supporting proposals or government program operations.
· Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.
· Interest in pursuing PMP or CAPM certification.
