Collective Staff Trainer II (LET) – US Army III Corps, Ft Bliss, TX

Specific tasks include:

  • Acts as a recognized technical expert in base labor category description.
  • Functions as the highest-level individual contributor in at least one Warfighting Function (WfF).
  • Utilizes expertise and experience in staff training best practices, industry requirements and information technology disciplines to develop technical and training solutions in support of Army mission command training.
  • Has a high level of diverse technical and industry experience related to a specific skill set.
  • Typically has specialization in a particular technology or WfF. 
  • Keeps abreast of doctrinal, operational and tactical training methodology as well as technological developments and trends.
  • Requires approximately two years additional experience as the Training and Development Specialist.  Advanced degree or significant equivalent experience required. 
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes unit collective training at echelons ranging from Battalion to Corps. 
  • Assists unit leadership in planning collective training that will meet their training objectives; identifies any gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.) and works with the management team to ensure they are filled prior to execution of training. 
  • Serves in a mentorship or observer/trainer role when requested. 
  • Gathers observations based on unit actions during the training event and provides input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs). 
  • Maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs.      

Qualifications:

  • Requires at least eight years’ related experience in instructional development.
  • Also requires advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in technology-based training as well as the use and application of off-the-shelf tools and associated equipment and systems.
  • Be qualified to operate at least two Army MCIS.
  • Have a background of at least eight years’ experience with Military training and training support.
  • Have completed the Army Command & General Staff College (CGSC), Intermediate Level Education (ILE), the Army Warrant Officer Advanced Course, or served as an Operations Sergeant Major or Operations Sergeant in a Battalion, Brigade, Division or Corps command post; Preferred competed Army Battle Staff Course.
  • Possess a Secret clearance.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound skills in written and oral communication is a must.
  • Must be able to read and speak fluent English.
