Course Curriculum Specialist – US Navy, Commander, Navy Reserve Force, Fort Worth, TX

Develop, improve and maintain Commander, Navy Reserve Force (CNRF) training courses.

Specific tasks include:

  • Support the Learning Standards Officer (LSO) in his/her capacity as the CCA for Navy Reserve formal training programs.
  • Support the proposed mission and readiness objectives to determine the impact on future training and or equipment requirements through field analysis of objectives.
  • provide curriculum recommendations to site Learning Standards Officer based on Formal Course Review procedures and field analysis.
  • Provide assistance to training sites with the development, submission and approval of all necessary course curriculum documents as required by current directives and instructions.
  • Assist the CNRFC (N73) Learning Standards Office point of contact for Navy Reserve instructors on matters pertaining to curriculum development, submission and delivery methods.
  • Maintain master files of all curricula and supporting documentation under the cognizance of CNRFC N73 Learning Standards Officer.
  • Support CNRFC N73 Learning Standards Officer (LSO) in developing and assisting in the evaluation of the efficiency of course materials, assist with the Front End Analysis (FEA), Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA), Training Requirement Review (TRR), Business Case Analysis (BCA), and based upon results of these analysis, offer recommendations on course curricula

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ specialized experience as a Course Curriculum Specialist developing course curricula.
  • Must have general experience with: Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) Content Planning Module/Learning Object (CPM/LO), Catalog of Navy Training Courses (CANTRAC), enterprise Naval Training Reservation System (eNTRS), Corporate enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARS), Fleet Training Management and Planning System (FLTMPS), and Standard Training Activity Support System (STASS).
  • Must have the ability to provide data entry services entering approved course information into and any other identified electronic systems as required by CNRFC and higher authority.
  • Must have and maintain communication skills including but not limited to drafting correspondence, proof reading, validating and assessing training material, preparing briefs, providing formal instruction/facilitation and making presentations.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound skills in written and oral communication is a must.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
