Information Systems Technologist I – US Army, Ft Irwin, CA
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Specific tasks include:

  • Information system tool suite (ISTS) point of contact at each Army installation.
  • Facilitate reporting and troubleshooting of maintenance problems for all supported devices.
  • Assist internal and customer personnel in creating custom dashboards and reports.
  • Log calls for assistance into the ISTS for tracking and analysis and provide quality of service metrics including minimum, maximum, and average hold times, and quantities.
  • Provide contact team and maintenance technical support to assist with the installation, de-installation, function checks, troubleshooting, and replacement/repair of newly fielded Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS).
  • Installs, tests, and services a variety of computer software, hardware, data network, and telecommunications devices, as well as other peripheral equipment related to information technology.
  • Assesses and corrects problems with computers, peripheral equipment, and communication hardware and software.
  • Applies software patches and performs hardware and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs to ensure all systems are up-to-date.
  • Provides help desk support and technical assistance to system users, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Gathers and maintains inventory of IT equipment, such as desktops, laptops, mobility devices, etc., as well as the parts and materials to repair these devices.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in IT support services.
  • Must possess CompTia Security+.
  • Must be able to complete assignments independently, using sound judgment in applying broad guidelines to specific cases.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound skills in written and oral communication is a must.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Must be able to pass a Federal background check.
