IT Asset Specialist – Fort Eustis, VA

Must possess a Current Active Secret Clearance with ability to upgrade to/attain TS/SCI.

Assist in asset management and equipment lifecycle functions supporting the addition, tracking, removal, and disposition of Information Technology equipment for TRADOC G-2 at multiple locations.

Specific tasks include:

  • Maintain database for tracking TRADOC G-2 Information Technology (IT) equipment located at Fort Eustis and Fort Leavenworth.
  • Prepare Hand-Receipt and Non-Hand-Receipt equipment for turn-in to the Property Book Office (PBO) and for issue to TRADOC personnel.
  • Maintain signed copies of Hand Receipts on file for IPBO, FMO, real property and durable property/5K and below.
  • Ensure all required DA Form 1687 signature cards are current and complete with received dates and signatures
  • Ensure sub hand receipts are on file and filled out properly.
  • Generate DA Form 3161 Turn-In documents for Hand Receipt and Non-Hand Receipt equipment being turned into the Installation Property Book Office and DA Form 2062 Hand Receipts for equipment being issued to TRADOC personnel. 
  • Remove, document, and prepare labels, degauss and destroy Hard Drives from computer systems in preparation for equipment Turn-In to the Property Book Office (PBO).
  • Maintain and administer the Wasp MobileAsset v7 Database on Windows Server 2016 Standard providing simultaneous access for TRADOC G-2 and TRADOC G-6. 
  • Perform database backups and restoration (if necessary) for Wasp MobileAsset v7 database. 
  • Maintain interface between Wasp MobileAsset v7 on Windows Server 2016 Standard and SQL Server 2016 program on separate Windows Server 2012 R2.
  • Maintain Wasp MobileAsset v7 client, Wasp WPL-305 printers, and HC1 handheld scanners allowing remote access and synchronization with Wasp MobileAsset v7 database.
  • Assist TRADOC G-2 with conducting annual inventories of durable property.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a High School Diploma. AS or higher degree in related area preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience performing similar tasks.
  • Knowledge of Wasp MobileAsset, Windows Server 2016 and SQL Server 2016 preferred.
  • Must possess a Current Active Secret Clearance with ability to upgrade to/attain TS/SCI.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound skills in written and oral communication is a must.
  • Must be able to read and speak fluent English.
  • Must be a US citizen.
