Logistics Management Specialist (Diving Equipment and Systems) – San Diego, CA

Provide Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group ONE (EODGRU ONE) with all of the necessary management, accountability, and inventory of equipment within the Government Table of Allowances (TOA) and Defense Property Accounting System (DPAS) systems and provide support to the Material Department Head (N43).

Specific tasks include:

  • Provide inventory management, maintenance oversight, and technical expertise in connection with Diving Equipment and systems.
  • Manage the distribution and inventory of equipment and material contained in the TOA and managed in the DPAS systems. 
  • Assess material condition of TOA equipment and provide inventory management recommendations for maintenance and modernization requirements for each fiscal year, or as requirements are discovered.
  • Assist EODGRU ONE N43 staff on all aspects of maintenance and administration for all EODGRU ONE and subordinate commands, to include shore-based detachments, and forward-deployed task group under the purview of EODGRU ONE.
  • Develop long range plans for distribution and maintenance management for TOA equipment.
  • Travel to Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) EOD locations for conferences, meetings, and assessments and to other places as required supporting EOD and NECC TOA requirements
  • Monitor all inventory and track operational readiness and surplus or shortfalls in TOA equipment.
  • Assist EODGRU ONE N43 staff in the development of courses of action to solve intermediate and depot level repair issues, prepare analysis and documentation, and participate in decision making.
  • Provide input and assist EODGRU ONE for the development of Intermediate & Depot level maintenance plans and requirements.
  • Support active-duty and Government personnel in the maintenance, management, tracking, and issuing of TOA equipment.
  • Shall record the receipt of all material delivered and coordinate delivery to appropriate entities.  Schedule, coordinate, and record the shipping of all material between EODGRU ONE commands.
  • Coordinate with supporting TOA Commodity Managers and equipment Type Desks on equipment and material requirements necessary to support operations and training. 
  • Coordinate the movement, storage, issue, and receipt of TOA equipment and material. Execute the issue and receipt of material and equipment across EODGRU ONE subordinate commands and execute the issue and receipt of platoon or company equipment in support of operations.
  • Provide technical support and coordination for the allowance, sustaining, accounting, movement, and tracking of all systems, equipment, and material, and coordinate the field testing of equipment and other technologies associated with operations.
  • Track all unit short- and long-range training schedules and coordinate maintenance, training and operational requirements in support of Fe/Fg.
  • Develop, promulgate, and maintain maintenance program schedules.  Coordinate with subordinate command 3M coordinators and TOA custodians to assist in the development of courses of action to solve organizational maintenance issues, prepare analysis and documentation, and participate in executive-level decision making.
  • Coordinate evaluations of materiel and maintenance administration conducted by EODGRU ONE staff or an outside entity and track status of each and any resulting corrective action plans.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in connection with Diving Equipment and systems.
  • Must have three (3) years of Logistics Management experience, with an understanding of the equipment management process used to track and control the equipment distribution, lifecycle, preferably with Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) or Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) equipment.
  • Shall have in depth knowledge of TOAs, their development, maintenance, and application to equipping.
  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and other specialized DOD/DON software applications with ability to develop spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and briefings.
  • Familiarity with the NAVFAC TOA Viewer database, Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), Configuration Data Managers Database – Open Architecture (CDMD-OA), Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) Casualty Report (CASREP) Generator, METBENCH Calibration Management System (MCMS), Joint Container Management (JCM) system and SKED PMS Scheduler.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral – with superior interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively present facts, recommendations, and reports in a clear and concise manner, succinctly or in detail, to various audiences.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English

Physical and Mental Qualification Requirements

  • Work requires frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel and operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Periodically, the position requires the lifting of boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in both inside and outside environments with exposure to outside elements, like heat and cold.

Compensation: $75,000-$77,000
